Rid-All Liquid General Aid is a widely used aquarium treatment designed as both a cure and a preventive measure for common fish diseases. It is a mild bactericide and fungicide, commonly employed in fish farms, hatcheries, and by aquarium fish exporters to reduce mortality rates during transit. Unlike many Acriflavine-based products, it does not cause lethal egg binding in most aquarium fish. The active ingredient is Neutralized Flavine B.P.C. with trace components.
Uses and Directions:
- For Common Fish Diseases (e.g., ich, mouth/body fungi, fin/tail rot, torn fins, sore spots):
- Add 5 ml (1 teaspoon) with 1 teaspoon of non-iodized salt to 5 liters of aquarium water.
- If no improvement after 2 days, repeat with 10 ml.
- For Goldfish-Specific Issues (e.g., red spots, bleeding veins on fins, constipation, bladder problems, lack of appetite):
- Use 5 ml with 1 teaspoon of salt per 10 liters of water. Add salt only if not already used in the tank.
- As a General Tonic or Preventive (especially for new or baby fish):
- Use 5 ml per 25 liters of water weekly to boost fish health and prevent diseases.
